about us

TLS Action is run by Tony Lucken and has been providing industry leading stunts for film and television since 1992.

Creativity

Our goal is to produce action that adds creative value to a project, taking the necessary technical components of a stunt and crafting them into a piece of art that hits hard.

From small fights to huge battle scenes, from the simple to the more creative, from modern day to period, we will help you tell the story, not just do stunts for their own sake.

Experience

With a quarter of a century's experience, we are able to provide everything from script breakdowns and budgeting through to the creation of fight scenes, stunt rigging and action sequences without the unnecessary expense to you of hiring additional personnel.

That quarter of a century also bears testament to our commitment to safety. Whether the stunt involves fire, high falls, vehicles, water or weopons, we have got it covered.

Teamwork

Working as a team is at the heart of everything we do at TLS Action and paramount to our success. Our dedicated team of professionals works in a calm, reassuring and effective manner to deliver the best action sequences possible.

Knowing that the safety of the team is paramount, Tony has taken the time to pass the NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health & Safety.

testimonials

Just a few of the kind words people have said about us over the years.

Totally and forever in your debt...

...the whole range rover sequence totally rocks! It did just exactly what we had always talked about and a helluva a lot more besides. That was one phenomenal roll! I am sure you know the whole team of execs etc. are also totally blown away by it. All the good down and dirty fight stuff and everything else is also of course tip top and works just great.

You run a really tight team of total professionals. Everyone pulled their weight and there wasn't one occasion we didn't get what we set out to get. So pass thanks on to them...precision drivers, staircase-fallers, punch-takers, and of course Chris and his nutcase dare devil car rolling craziness!

And on top of that, you are a very cool dude to work with also. I have worked with a lot of stunt coordinators and yours will be the first door I come knocking on next time I get the chance.

Bill Eagles: Director, New Blood

Just felt I needed to say...

...you are doing such a great job. Toby MacDonald, the director on Old Boys, is so happy with what you are doing.

I'll be putting you up for everything I get offered, you are doing a top job, I've been so impressed. Toby is so confident in what you do and how you do it, great work.

Mick Ward: 1st AD, Old Boys

I’m massively impressed...

...with Tony Lucken, he’s great. He really stepped up to the mark, I’m really excited about him.

Tony was a risk for us, he had a lot of credits, he’d been in all the big movies but he’d only ever been a player or a fight arranger. He’d never been the stunt guy who does all the risk assessments, and gets the teams in and casts them all. It was a big number for him.

He absolutely rose to the occasion in a way that you would hope someone could, and he far exceeded. I’ve got to tell you I loved working with him. I absolutely know that it was a brilliant decision from not just me but the producers and everybody to go with Tony. He wants to get it done, and wants to do it in a quick and effective way and make it look good. Really amazing.

Someone like Tony instills you with confidence that you can do it all.

Nick Love: Director, The Sweeney

Lucky Lucken was the best...

...thing we could have ever done. He was playing it by the book in terms of Health and Safety, but also he could take risks.

He also had some brilliant creative ideas about how to do these extraordinarily large sequences for very little money.

Chris Simon: Producer, The Sweeney
